“…gun shots were heard, they broke the doors with butt strokes,
and people were dragged to the streets. A 70-years-old Turk woke up
with sound of his broken front door. As he got out of the bedroom
falteringly, he came across with lots of young armed men: “Do you
have kids?” they asked. He answered as “yes” bewilderedly. They
ordered as “send them out”. His two sons, 17 and 19 years in age, and
10-years-old daughter dressed up quickly and got out after the armed
men. After they were lined up in front of the farm wall, they were
executed by shooting.
In another house, a 13-years-old boy's hands were tied up
behind his knees so that he knocked out. The house was plundered.
Plunderers kicked the boy, raped him and shot him on the back of his
head. That night 12 people in total were slaughtered in Ayvasıl…
Armed men's attention was drawn to the Turkish houses. They
plundered and ruined the houses. They set them on fire when they
got tired. 9 more Turks were killed in the isolated farm houses…
